NextGen Skills Foundation delivers digital skills training through two distinct programs - one inside schools, one for the broader community - both designed to create real-world opportunity.
What is the NextGen
Digital Skills Program?
The NextGen Digital Skills Program is a structured digital training initiative that introduces learners to practical, in-demand digital skills through curriculum-based sessions delivered inside schools and communities.
The program focuses on three key areas: digital design, website development, and digital entrepreneurship giving participants real tools to create, build, and earn online.
We are not just another computer class. We teach skills that generate real income opportunities.
Grade-by-Grade
Learning Path
Basic in Grade 7. Intermediate in Grades 8–9. Advanced and income-ready by Grades 10–11.
Digital Foundations
First exposure to digital tools and technology. Students build confidence and curiosity before progressing to creative and technical skills.
- Basic computer skills and navigation

Digital Development
Students develop their skills at an intermediate level progressing in both design and web development while building real, usable outputs.
- Canva (intermediate) — design layouts, branding basics, social media graphics
- Introduction to WordPress — what a website is and how it works
- Creating simple web pages using WordPress
- Understanding page structure, layout, and visual design
Digital Application
Students apply their skills at an advanced level producing professional-quality work and learning how to turn digital skills into real income.
- Canva (advanced) — social media content, branding kits, client-ready designs
- WordPress + Elementor — building and publishing complete professional websites
- Freelancing basics — finding clients and pricing digital services
- Introduction to earning income using digital skills
The School Delivery
Model
A scalable, structured approach designed to reach maximum learners with minimum resources.
School Partnership
We partner with the school. The school provides classroom space and infrastructure. We supply the curriculum, facilitators, and equipment through funding.
Structured Sessions
2–3 classes per school. 25–35 learners per class. 1 session per week. 1 hour per session. One facilitator handles one full school efficient and scalable.
Equipment Model
Funders provide laptops and internet connectivity. Schools provide the classroom and electricity. A hybrid model that works for both parties.
Certification
Learners who complete the program receive co-branded certificates from NextGen Skills Foundation and the partner institution.

Trusted Partners
Training is delivered through partnerships with local colleges, community centres, and training institutions. NextGen Skills Foundation provides the curriculum, program structure, and quality assurance. Partners provide the venue, administration, and facilitation support.
This model allows the program to scale rapidly without the foundation needing to own or manage physical training facilities.

Who It's For
Unemployed youth, school leavers, community members, and aspiring freelancers who want to build a digital career or start earning online.
Delivery Format
Short-term courses of 4–8 weeks. Hands-on practical sessions. Project-based learning. Flexible schedules including weekends and batched intakes to suit working adults.

Participants gain practical digital skills, the ability to build websites and create professional designs, and clear pathways to employment, freelancing, or self-employment.
